31 and Loving It!

I am. No kidding.

I think there are some people that are very scared of their increasing age. For me, I feel blessed to reach this age, living life with great people around me. I have great family and great friends. Quoting from my friend Andressa from Brazil, she told me that "You can't put a price on having a great family and a group of friends that love you". I agree 100% with her.

Now, let me tell you about yesterday. One of the best days of my life, the one that will always be locked in the memory as long as I live. My 31st birthday. 31 is just an odd number, but right now, I am loving it.

The birthday wishes started few hours before midnight of my birthday. Some friends smsed, some wished me throught chats, some emailed and some send wall posts to my fb. Then as I was about to sleep at around midnights, messages started coming in. It continued in the early morning and continue through out the day. It was the busiest day I ever had, receiving texts all day. Thanks to FB too, i got lots of birthday wishes. Even JJ Hitz wished me. hehe. although I wish Rudy or Tony Eusoff would, but they didn't. Oh well. Who cares anyway? I got people that love me around me. hehehe.

So anyway, the day started normal.. but the difference was - I wore my new handbag, a gift from Kak Tine. LOVE IT, sis!! thanks!!! Then I had breakfast with my friend Syida from work at the office building's foodcourt.

Then Kak Tine, the kids and Azeem (my little cousin) came to the Weld to have lunch with me. We had lunch at Secret Recipe. I had to rush because I have a meeting at 2pm. As I was about to leave my office to go to the other floor, I saw familiar faces and I got a shock of my life - it was Imran, Adam, Azeem and kak tine bearing a gift, cake and a lovely sunflower!!! The boys gave me a big hug and asked me to open the gift, right there and then. Imran said that he chose the gift. IT WAS SO CUTE!! I LOVE IT!!! Look at this!! Imran really know his bobo. hehe.



Then I left for the meeting. The meeting took hours!!!!! Aghhh I was agitated. Then around 4:30pm, FINALLY the meeting was over, and I went back to my office. As I reached my department my boss said that I got lots of flowers! I was what? hmm i put the sunflower I got earlier on the table so maybe my boss thought it was that. But no!!!! I looked on my table, there a huge adorable bunch of pink gerberas, my fave and a box of 16 pieces of Ferrero Rocher!!!! I somehow know who it was from but I was shaking because I was so excited. heheh. Everyone was asking me, wahh from boyfriend?? etc.. then I opened the card, and it was from the one I thought it would be from, my BFF, Dang. Thank you Dang, it was lovely!!! *hugs* love you!



Then, the excitement wasnt over yet, my boss called me over, it was funny because she got this funny look on her face, then I saw kak N (or was it Linda? not sure) was behind her, lighting a tiny candle on a box of Dunkin Donuts! lol. They suprised me! Yeay! I love it!!! hahaha. It was so cute, donuts! and they gave me this cute sheep clip thingy!! I love sheep! There were only 5 of us in the office (3 of my colleagues were on leave) so it was so sweet of them for taking this trouble. I hugged everyone and enjoyed the donuts. Look how excited I was. ;)) I can't help it, I am an easily excited girl. haha.



Then it was time to go home. I was supposed to have dinner with Dik. He asked me to have dinner with him on the day before, he said the others couldn't make it so it would be just the 2 of us. I said okay, no problem and thought it would be nice just to spend time with my lil bro. But while I was in the meeting, he texted me and said he couldn't make it because he has to work late. I said it's okay since I have a backup plan with Ain. hehehe. A girl have to have a backup! I took the monorail to meet Ain (I was a bit late because the rain was very heavy) and reached Ain's place later than usual. The roads were all jammed up because it was raining. Ain told me we are going to Pavilion and the funny thing was, she said "eh, why did I ask you to meet me here? You took all the trouble came all the way here on the monorail and then turn back to Pavilion when you can just walk to the place in 10 mins walk". LOL. oh whatever, I didnt really think anything wrong in that. I did make a few suggestions -Midvalley, KLCC but she insisted on going to Pavilion. I was a bit suprised that Ain still want to go to Pavilion on this rainy and jammed day but I didn't really mind. Anything can lah.

The jam was pretty bad, it took us nearly an hour to Pavillion where it usually takes about 1/2 hour. Reached Pavillion I asked Ain if she would like to have dinner at another place (she said she wanted to go to TGI's Friday) but she was like agigated with my suggestions, it was so funny. She just said something like, I just want to go to Fridays ok? haha. Okayyyyyy.. then she was like, so kelam kabut and as we got out of the car, she straight away headed to the lifts. Usually we took the escalator because we love window shopping. She seemed to be in a hurry so I thought maybe she was really hungry.

As we reached the 6th Floor, she straight away headed to Fridays and just entered the restaurant without asking for the seats from the waitress, it happened so fast so I didnt really notice, then I heard voices singing happy birthday! OMG!!!!!!! Kak Tine's face was the the first face I saw (and her voice is the loudest too lol) and there were Dik, Lil Sis Wawa, Big Sis Eja, Kiddo, Imran, Adam and Azeem!! Oh boy, I was suprised. I didnt expect the suprise because I told ain before I don't like suprises. It was GREATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT. The patrons near our table sang along too, I was soo embarrassed and I straight away sat down. There were Uhu!hu! cakes for me and I blew the candle. I was overwhelmed!! I've been duped! They were really good actors!!!! Esp Ain and Dik. Cik Wa and Kiddo were even better, they didnt even wish me or anything. Cheeky! hahaha but, OMG.. thanks you guys, it was awesome. I love it! We ordered, ate, took pics (I felt like a celebrity hehehe) and it was really an amazing night. The food was great, I was with great people. So everything was awesome! After dinner, we walked around Pavillion for a bit and fooling around taking pics.

I am 31 and I may have my down days too, but right now, I'm loving it.
