The Way I Am

Everytime I heard this song, it makes me want to be in love.

I guess it must be nice to feel what the singer is feeling.

I want to be in love like that.

And to have someone, whom take me the way I am.

"The Way I Am" by Ingrid Michaelson

If you were falling, then I would catch you.
You need a light, I'd find a match.

Cause I love the way you say good morning.
And you take me the way I am.

If you are chilly, here take my sweater.
Your head is aching, I'll make it better.

Cause I love the way you call me baby.
And you take me the way I am.

I'd buy you Rogaine when you start losing all your hair.
Sew on patches to all you tear.

Cause I love you more than I could ever promise.
And you take me the way I am.
You take me the way I am.
You take me the way I am.

This is the way I am ahahahahahahahah

It Is Just Not Enough *Sigh*

I am reading "The Cupid Effect" by Dorothy Koomson andddddddddddd something pulled my heart.

Read this:

"On the other hand, nothing happened. Ever. Not during college, not after college. I sometimes got the feeling... that he was thinking taking our relationship to the next level... He never did anything... You see, if there was one thing I'd learnt about men, it was that if they liked you enough, nothing, except possibly an act of God - and even then it was a close-run thing - would stop them making a move. So why did Drew never just lean down and cover my lips with his, even when his arms were holding me close to his chest? Because he didn't like me enough, was the short answer"

~ Taken from The Cupid Effect, Chapter 6, page57-58, Dorothy Koomson, 2003, paperback edition 2007, copyright belongs to Dorothy Koomson

*-* (blank face)

Oh well... have you been there? I've been there. It hurts, badddddddddddddd but oh well... life goes on. Still hurts sometimes.

Owww this sucks. LOL.

Manchester United Asia Tour 2009 - Malaysia

I went to watch a football match in the stadium!!! YES! ME!!!

HAHAHAHA... oh well, I am not a fan of football, but when Dik told me early this year that Manchester United is coming for a friendly match with Malaysia, I thought to myself, that this would be interesting and I would love to experience something new. I went to 2 sessions, first was on Friday, 17th July 2009 for the training session and then the match day on Saturday, 18th July 2009. Actually, I didn't understand why everybody is crazy going to the training session. hahah I took half day leave for it, ya know. All you see was those guys stretching and warming up and run around the field. hahaha. But anyway, doesn't matter lah.. at least I got break from work. Eh you know what I think, I understand now.. it is as if ason Mraz was doing sound checks before his actual concert and I go there to see him. Right. :P

I've only been to a football match once in my life. It was finals in the Malaysia Cup but I didn't remember which year. All I remember was that it was a match between Selangor and Sabah. I was so bored during the game!!! hahahah

So anyway, when I told my friends about me going to the match, they were like.. "since when are you a fan of football". I tried not to be annoyed with their statement but somehow it does bugged me a little bit. I am saying this now, yes it is true, I am NOT a fan of football, but does it stop me from experiencing it? Why not? ya know? Who knows, once I saw the game live, I would ya know become a fan too (but so far not yet! HHAHAHA).. I just want to experience it.. and I am glad I did it because it was an interesting experience and I had lots of fun with my family and friends. Malaysia played quite well and I was cheering hard for them. The score is Man Utd 3 - Malaysia 2.

All in all, it was truly good experience and I wouldn't mind going again. And of yeah, Rio Ferdinand is HOT HOT HOT! hahaha. Anyway, I am not sure if I'll be a fan of the sport, but I think I'll enjoy it more (maybe) than what I used to.

Let's see some pics!!!

TRAINING SESSION - 17th July 2009

Man Utd players came out for their training (I missed the Malaysia team training session)
The lads running around the field
The goalkeepers trained separately
Hot bods. lol.
Can you spot Rio Ferdinand biceps? hahah. Having a crush on him right now. But can you blame me?? he's droolworthy, right?
Can you spot me? hahaha. me & my cousins..I was trying to amuse myself. haha.

MATCH DAY - 18th July 2009

On match day, I went with my brothers - Upiq & Dik, my nephews, Imran and Adam, my cousins - Eja, Wawa & Didi, Dik's gf - Liz, Liz's cousins - Rin and Mi, Dik's friend - Nab and also 2 of Didi's friends.

Myself, Upiq, Imran & Adam took the LRT and boy, we sure glad we took the train! On the way up to the stadium, we decided to get our faces painted. haha. Upiq was the one who wanted it, but then Adam and Imran wanted it too and oh what the heck, I thought, I want it too. Upiq got full face, Imran and Adam both half faced and mine was just simple stripes.

See us!

Upiq getting his face painted on
Imran and Adam with their wacko uncle. haha
and with the less wacko aunt. not. hahah.
My bro Upiq, with my cousins Eja, Wawa & Didi
Let game begins. Look how tall my no. 5, Rio Ferdinand or maybe Zamani is too small? hhehe
Nab, Liz & Dik

with my nephews
Can you spot No. 7?? It is Michael Owen, making his debut as part of MUFC.

RM98 well spent? you betcha.

That's all folks!!!

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - The Movie Review

*spoiler alert*

Well, since I've been crazily talking about this movie for awhile so now after 3 times watching, I think I should say a few words about the movie.

Even though I read the book (which I didn't finish though but I have read the book 3 times I think) prior to watching the movie, I didn't like to really compare the book with the movie. Ever since my disappointment with Harry Potter 2 - The Chamber of Secret, the movie, I started to treat the book and movie separately, so I can enjoy the movie more. Of course we love the books, but we also have to understand the time limitations for each movie, we can't really expect every single detail in the book (no matter how much we love 'em) to be put out into the movie.

That being said, I'll give an O.W.L "O" for HBP the movie. For you Muggles, "O" means outstanding. OWL (Ordinary Wizarding Level) is equivalent to O Level in our Muggle world. hahaha. I am biased as I am a Potter fan, but I truly thinks that the movie is the best adapted so far. How they try to simplify some of the details, and added new scenes to have more "action" in the story. Half Blood Prince is a drama movie, not much action. I have heard a few comments by those that didn't read the book saying that there is no climax to the movie. Well, it is true that there is no climax and the story is left hanging. I've always said that, HBP is like a prequel to the last book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. If you didn't read HBP, you won't be able to fully understand what's going on in DH especially in regards to the horcruxes.

As for me, I love HBP because it is actually introduced us to Lord Voldemort's past. We have to learn the enemy you see. As for the movie, I love how they played on the emotions of the character especially on the cheesy love scenes (although I somehow feel that Ginny tying Harry's shoelaces is absolutely unnecessary), the close bond of friendship between Harry, Hermoine and Ron, ..... we see these kids grow in front of us. Harry's relationship with Dumbledore. I love that it shows Harry's character more this time- inquisitive mind, brave, loyal, caring, kind person. And oh yeah, the "pincer" scene was just too cute ok!!! hahah. The only thing I kinda disappointed in was the absence of the "fight" at the end. In the book there was supposed to be fights between the death eaters and the aurors before the end (ya know what I mean. But oh, I also think the performances by Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy and Jim Broadbent as Professor Slughorn were brilliant!!

So, for me to tell you to go or not to go watch the movie, it is really up to you. I would say the fans would love the movie. For non readers, if you like and watch all the 5 movies, I am sure you'll enjoy this because it is a continuation of Harry's journey in fighting the evil. For me, it is beautifully executed - the graphics, the music (I especially love the scene where hermoine was crying and she was practising her charm spell - the birds flying around her head). I also think that this movie will make people more intrigued.. and wants to know what happens next.

All that being said, I can't wait for the last instalment (which they said to be made into 2 movies), it gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. I love the last book the most, it is so precious to me... I may have high expectation on it but I think the movie maker know what they are doing. We'll always have the book anyway, right?

Enjoy the movie. And don't forget to bring tissues. I cried buckets the first time! HAHAHA.

Read awesome reviews from the Rolling Stones and Roger Ebert from Chicago Sun-Times.

Upiq's Climb

I made this little tribute to my brother Upiq, for his recent "conquest" at the Port Dickson International Triathlon 2009.

This is an example, when you believe in yourself, work hard, anything is possible.

I am too lazy to upload it here hehehe but you can view at Upiq's blog. Hope you'll enjoy the vid. Click here to view the vid.

*sorry for the choppy audio. Need to improve more on editing.

Have a good week people!

Breakfast @ La Bodega, Pavilion

I love breakfast. It's my favourite mealtime of the day. I like all kinds of breakfast, local or western.

I have to work on every Saturdays. So to take off that ugly feeling of having to work on Saturdays, as one of our Saturday ritual (especially when boss is not around), is to have nice breakfast. Sometimes we do a potluck at office sometimes we go out.

Today, we had our breakfast in La Bodega, Pavilion. It was marvelous! Seriously. The price was kinda steep but, the food quality is good, using fresh ingredients.

Breakfast time at La Bodega 9am-3pm
G's English breakfast - with moist scrambled eggs, beef bacons, sauteed mushrooms with coffee and orange juice
Pootz's Omelette with sauteed mushrooms
My blueberry pancakes
N's scrambled eggs with smoked salmon
Pootz's son, Hakeem's BIG breakfast - see pic above for the description
Pootz's fussing over Hakeem
My cappucino with Hakeem's fresh orange juice at the background
Pootz, Haakem & mommy to be :)
Camwhoring with G! hehe

I enjoyed the breakfast, it was YUMMY!! Why don't you try breakfast at La Bodega Pavilion (located at level 3, the outside walkway haaha dont know how to describe).

Hope you'll enjoy it, we know we did!

Harry Potter Fever Attack Part II

I think I am too over the top. Can over the top be "too"? hahaha. Whatever.

All I know is that I am too excited and nervous about the upcoming movie that I ended up reserving 58 tickets!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA. Yes, FIFTY EIGHT. For the release date and Sunday. As you know, I've already plan to watch it on the day of release, afternoon. I also plan to see it with my gang, that night.. but, when I did the booking (TGV's sms), i was a little bit worried so I ended up booking at a few other places, just to be sure. LOL. I also booked for the weekend, as I want to see it with my nephew, Imran and Kak Tine my SIL who is also a fan. Then again, I thought about my other SIL who love HP too, Kak Ida, so I ended up booking quite a number of tix, at 2 different cinema, just in case. hahah. Oh well.. so that's when I ended up with 58 tickets. I may not use all, so anybody who wants the tix, let me know ok?

So today, this is what I did... making a list of the reservation no, so that I will not mix them up. hahaha.
Ok that's the kan cheong girl alright. LOL. Ok now, tickets are settled, so I can enjoy my weekend with peace.

Now, I want to show you something. It has been here for awhile now, but I didnt really have the chance to take pics mainly because the place is usually packed on working days. So since this is a Saturday, we have the place for ourselves (although we were laughing and a bit shy when few buses stopped there hahaah)...

let's take a look!!

HAHAHAAH of all places, the bus stop promoting HBP, has to be at my office bus stop!!!!! HAHHAHA cool kan?? What to do, as if they know a HP big fan is working in that building! LOL.

HAHAHAH you likey? ME LIKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kisses to all... have a great weekend and prepare for Harry Potter.

Oh btw, tickets are already available for booking at TGV Cinemas & Cineleisure. Not too sure about GSC though. Grab your tickets!
