Manchester United Asia Tour 2009 - Malaysia

I went to watch a football match in the stadium!!! YES! ME!!!

HAHAHAHA... oh well, I am not a fan of football, but when Dik told me early this year that Manchester United is coming for a friendly match with Malaysia, I thought to myself, that this would be interesting and I would love to experience something new. I went to 2 sessions, first was on Friday, 17th July 2009 for the training session and then the match day on Saturday, 18th July 2009. Actually, I didn't understand why everybody is crazy going to the training session. hahah I took half day leave for it, ya know. All you see was those guys stretching and warming up and run around the field. hahaha. But anyway, doesn't matter lah.. at least I got break from work. Eh you know what I think, I understand now.. it is as if ason Mraz was doing sound checks before his actual concert and I go there to see him. Right. :P

I've only been to a football match once in my life. It was finals in the Malaysia Cup but I didn't remember which year. All I remember was that it was a match between Selangor and Sabah. I was so bored during the game!!! hahahah

So anyway, when I told my friends about me going to the match, they were like.. "since when are you a fan of football". I tried not to be annoyed with their statement but somehow it does bugged me a little bit. I am saying this now, yes it is true, I am NOT a fan of football, but does it stop me from experiencing it? Why not? ya know? Who knows, once I saw the game live, I would ya know become a fan too (but so far not yet! HHAHAHA).. I just want to experience it.. and I am glad I did it because it was an interesting experience and I had lots of fun with my family and friends. Malaysia played quite well and I was cheering hard for them. The score is Man Utd 3 - Malaysia 2.

All in all, it was truly good experience and I wouldn't mind going again. And of yeah, Rio Ferdinand is HOT HOT HOT! hahaha. Anyway, I am not sure if I'll be a fan of the sport, but I think I'll enjoy it more (maybe) than what I used to.

Let's see some pics!!!

TRAINING SESSION - 17th July 2009

MATCH DAY - 18th July 2009

On match day, I went with my brothers - Upiq & Dik, my nephews, Imran and Adam, my cousins - Eja, Wawa & Didi, Dik's gf - Liz, Liz's cousins - Rin and Mi, Dik's friend - Nab and also 2 of Didi's friends.

Myself, Upiq, Imran & Adam took the LRT and boy, we sure glad we took the train! On the way up to the stadium, we decided to get our faces painted. haha. Upiq was the one who wanted it, but then Adam and Imran wanted it too and oh what the heck, I thought, I want it too. Upiq got full face, Imran and Adam both half faced and mine was just simple stripes.

See us!
