Birthday Weekend
*phew!!!! What a weekend! Full of birthday celebrations! I LOVEEE BIRTHDAYS!!!
I have a thing for birthdays. Mine and other people's lol. I just love the entire "feel" of birthdays. The cards, the gifts, the wishes, the cakes, the celebrations. ya know? its' all good things. I love it when I see people smile receiving wishes and gifts. Happy happy. haha.
A happy weekend indeed!
So anyway, had 2 "advanced" birthday celebrations for my besties - Lin and Dang. Lin and Dang shares the same birthday, which is tomorrow but decided to celebrate it early since time during weekdays are a bit limited.
Lin's was at KLCC on Saturday, we had lunch at the Little Penang and as always, the food was nice. I love Little Penang. If you are hungry and want something simple, fast and yummy, go there. You won't be disappointed. They served the local specialities of Penang but my faves would be the Char Kuey Teow (stir fried flat noodles with prawn, cockles, bean sprouts, chives and eggs -yummy!!), the lobak (chicken pieces rolled in tofu sheet), Curry mee (noodles in curry broth), the prawn mee (noodles in prawn broth) and a must for me, the cendol (a local desert - shaved ice with coconut milk and palm sugar with these little jelly like strings called cendol). So anyway, everyone was hungry so the food were polished in a blink. lol. As our "tradition" we bought cupcakes at the Bakin' Boys (just few paces away from the Little Penang) but since everyone was full, we decided to save the cupcakes for later. I suggested we take it to the park and have them there. We went window shopping for a bit (Tuy was looking for her hubby's bday present) and then we went to the walk in the park. Really had fun, simple but nice outing. The walk in park was a really good idea and I can see that everyone was happy and smiling. Something we should do again, girls!
a must!

Then on Sunday, I went to Delicious (again! yes! lol) for lunch to celebrate Dang's birthday. It was great, food was EXCELLENT (will post a separate entry for it), the ambience was great and the company was great too. It's been awhile since we hang out, the four of us, together, so it was good time catching up.
