My Sister's Keeper

Yeah that's my battered copy of the book. It is brand new, but I took it everywhere I go for these past couple of weeks, so that's why it looked like that.

It took me longer than the usual time I took to finish a book, but I am glad I finished it. It is a moving story, about love and family. I didn't cry though (maybe because I already know the ending from Mrs Slattery hahahah).

What I like about this book is that it was written based on different points of view of the characters. So you can notice the language changes through the characters.

I am not here to review on the book really, or tell you the synopsis. I am sure you can pick up the book or google about it. All I can say is that the book is really good, and worth a space on your bookshelf.

What I wanted to share is this part, which I really like, a conversation between Julia (Anna's guardian ad litem) and Campbell (Anna's lawyer) - they have a history together:

"And I'm lonely, Campbell," Julia adds. "Why do you think I had to learn to act so independent? I also get mad too quickly, and I hog the covers, and my second toe is longer than my big one. My hair has its own zip code. Plus, I get certifiably when I've got PMS. You don't love someone because they're perfect," she says. "You love them in spite of the fact that they're not." Something to think about.

Anyway, planning to see the movie this weekend.
