Anna Came to Town
Last December for me was a month of friends and family, of gatherings. One of it was meeting my friend, Anna who came to town from Kuantan.
Anna is one of my good friends from university days. The last time I met her was some way back in 2004 maybe, before she left KL and moved back to her hometown Kuantan, Pahang. There were a few times I visited Kuantan, but never got the chance to meet up with her. Now, she has 3 kids already!!! Haha. Time flies so fast, or is it Anna who is very productive? :P
I tried to gather a bunch of friends but since it was a long weekend, some has already made plans and couldn't make it. There were 5 of us - Anna, Shima, Liza, Aya, myself together with Anna's youngest daughter, Nadia and Liza's niece, Amirah.
I was working that Saturday, so I picked up Anna at her hotel nearby my workplace and we went to one of my favourite dining place in town, DELIcious, Dua Annexe. I chose that place because it was cozy and I didn't want those noisy and cramped places because I wanted us to be able to relax and talk in peace. And probably because I haven't had their caesar salad for a long time. Seriously, the caesar salad is absolutely delish!!
Both mom and baby looked a little bit shy here. But see that hand?? that one definitely not shy hahahahahah .. that is ladies and gentleman, my favourite caesar salad (with additions of smoked salmon and chickend), ever. I come to delicious for this. seriously.
I love this pic. Staring contest Nadia vs Shima. Oy shima, pick someone your own size! lol!
L-R: Liza's niece Amirah, Liza & Aya
Shima, capturing the star dessert, my fave too, Chocolicious Sundae. Believe me, it is very VERY sinful. you have been warned.
Got distracted LOL!! Oh he is hot. Sorry we took your picture, whoever you are, it was just that we appreciate you. Ya know? haha. Me & Aya was trying to get a better pic of him, but this all we got. Oh well.. better luck next time :P
Pimpin' Aya hehehe
We really took our time there, and make the place like home! lol. Shima even put Nadia to sleep there on one of those comfy couches.
See how comfy the kids were?
Enjoy nampak org Kuantan? heheh
Shima, the nanny :P
Group pic!
So anyway, it was nice to meet and catch up after all these years. The most fascinating thing was that, it felt like it was just yesterday. We may looked a little bit better, or a little bit stylish or just a little bit different than we used to, but deep inside, we are still those girls. But of course, the topic of conversation has expanded, to include motherhood, aunt-hood (if there is such a word), work, and such.
Anna, it was nice catching up with you, come back soon, or maybe we can make a little trip to Kuantan, probably crash at your house?? heheh.
And oh, I just have to say this, I would go to Delicious for 2 thing - their Caesar Salad (with everything) and Chocolicious Sundae. I still haven't the chance to try their afternoon tea, and really looking forward to it :)
