From Miss to Missus Part 2 : The Bachelorette Party
I love Ain's bachelorette party. heheheh. I have always wanted a party quite similar to this. hehehe..
When people say "Bachelorette Party" people usually though of the common theme which is mainly sexual theme.. ya know, sharing intimate stuff, getting drunk and stuff like that. But of course different cultures has different ways. But then again, in our culture, there is no such thing as this kind of party i.e celebrating the bride (or groom - Bachelor). Considering that with our culture, for me, for us, the Bachelorette Party is just a name to celebrate our friend. All we wanted was a girly day, sweet, fun and the most important thing is celebration of friendship and celebrating the bride who is about leave her single life.
Lots of planning involved, lots of ideas discussed, although some of them didn't work out due to time constraint, the party was just like we have imagined. We chose Bijou, simply because of the nice setting and we wanted a place which is very girly, and Bijou has the white, hot pink and orange interior which suits our party perfectly.
The place itself was already pretty but our pretty balloons (thanks Sara!!) really made to the place more adorable!! Oohh I just love the place (I wish I could say the same thing about my food - will tell that later)
I won't say much, just let the pictures do the talking! :)
That's our little place.. nice eh?? Lyana and Sara busy setting up the place
What could be girlier than these?? pinks, polka dots, hearts kisses, balloons - total sweetness!
Sara, the party planner ;)
The little flower bouquets I made (in a bag trying to hide from Ain, who was driving), all squished together already but.. still they looked quite ok. I made these flowers for each of us :) together with name placecards (which the girls turned into name tags hahah)
Crown for the Bachelorette
Pretty masks for the rest of us - notice the name placecards?? I bought the "clothes pin" at Jonker Street. Super cute and super cheap!
Closer look on the placecards
THE BACHELORETTE!!
There she comesssss!! Ain with bestie, Tasha aka Chot
Fussing over the princess - fixing her crown, her sash, name tag and flower! :)

Princess of the day, looking kinda nervous don't you think?

THE FOOD!!!!
I wouldn't want to judge Bijou for my first experience but for me, the food was a little bit disappointing. I don't know about the rest of the girls, but I do think that they could do better with the food, taste, quality and presentation wise. I wish I can say the food was great (mine) but I just couldn't. I had their specialty - crab cakes, but it was actually quite tasteless, very bland, dry and the worst thing was that the crab was not fresh!! It was too small. It was served on a bed of veggies - shredded cucumber i think and salad on top with somekind of chutney, which did nothing to the dish. To call this a "specialty", was rather disappointing. Ain & chot had the salmon which Ain said was quite good, Lisha had the club sandwich which she said wasn't that special. I think sara & sada had the steak sandwich.. I didnt ask them how was it. Then Salpa had the chicken, which I didn't have a picture at all. For a place this nice, with price on the steep side, I expected more from them. The cupcakes and drinks were nice though. Nothing special, but really nice. I hope to go again though, to change my view because I love the place so much. Maybe I'll just go and have drinks and savour the homeliness of the place. hehe.
